These freezer-friendly chili sausages are a great choice if you need a change of pace. This Asian fusion dish is filling, different, and very easy to make. Serve these sausages on their own, as part of a potluck, or for a cookout. My family loves these on Sunday nights when there is nothing else around.
These Freezer-Friendly Chili Sausages Are The Sweet And Spicy Treat You Need

You can use mild, spicy, or sweet sausages depending on what you like. For this dish, I used a few mild Italian sausages. If you want to, you can also use ground sausage instead.
Other ingredients you will need include honey, rice vinegar, ketchup, cornstarch, red pepper flakes, garlic, and Cajun spice mix.
If you need to swap some of these, try using brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, tomato sauce, flour, sriracha, garlic powder, and chili powder.
Begin preparing this dish by preheating the oven to 350 degrees F. I suggest you bake the sausage for about 25-30 minutes. Be sure to check it is not pink inside, and that it is brown on the outside.
In the meantime, heat the other ingredients in a saucepan. Make sure to whisk them until the sauce thickens. This part is important, and you should pay attention, or it may scorch quickly.
After the sausage is ready, serve it cut and with the sauce on top. Accompany it with some rice and maybe a few bell peppers and sliced onions.
Freezing and Unfreezing the Sausage
If you want to refrigerate it, allow it to cool down and place it in an airtight container. It should last for up to four days. Reheat it over medium heat or in the microwave.
To freeze it, leave the sausages uncooked and put them in the freezer. In another airtight container, combine the sauce ingredients. Freeze both for up to three months. When you are ready to, cook the sausage and its sauce according to the directions.
