While I never thought myself to be a fan of buffalo sauce, in particular, this dish is so easy and delicious, that now I can’t imagine having it any other way. For this dish, I use chicken, buffalo wing sauce, and ranch dressing mix.

If you want to switch up some of the ingredients, you can. Go with things like turkey, pork, hot sauce, ranch dressing, or yogurt with dill.

You can start by simply placing the chicken, buffalo sauce, and ranch dressing mix in the instant pot. Set your pot to cook at a high temperature for 15 minutes. The time can vary depending on the cut of chicken and the amounts that you use.

I like to let my instant pot release the pressure for 10 minutes naturally, and then quick release what is left. However, depending on how rushed you are, you can manually release the pressure.

Once it is safe to open, grab a fork and knife and shred the chicken. Serve with sauce, along with fries, hamburger buns, or potato salad.

Freezing and Unfreezing the Buffalo Chicken
